My Journey Into Internet Marketing

Hey there. Let me just say, I don’t have it all yet. I haven’t done it all yet. I haven’t achieved everything I’m going to, yet. And, that’s exciting. That means I do not get stale. I have many more mountains to scale.

Several years ago, I thought that my ultimate job or career would be practicing law as an attorney. I did not look beyond that because I thought that would be the last and greatest career I could ever have or want. It was a great career, yet the legal system eventually left me burned out and sick.

In my life, I have traveled many career paths seeking something. I have had many jobs. Some have been satisfying, like teaching and the practice of law, where I felt I was really contributing to society. However, the salary of a teacher leaves a lot to be desired. People do not place great value on the education of children. Other jobs were less satisfying, to say the least. I was there because I had to pay bills or until I could find something better. Many times, I stayed because my mindset was off the mark.

I knew there were other people out there doing their own thing, as I wanted to. Some were people I knew. They owned a business, making money, were doing well as entrepreneurs or had high powered positions in government or corporations. They had great lifestyles. Nice home, vacations once a year, pretty cars, and so on. I envied them in many ways, because I always seemed to have to scramble for things. So, I continued to apply for jobs so I could also live my ultimate lifestyle; my ultimate dream. It never happened!

Then one evening I was in a bookstore for a discussion meeting and noticed the cover of a book. The colors caught my eye. It was called Rich Dad, Poor Dad. What struck me most, though, was the subtitle: What the Rich Teach Their Kids about Money that the Poor and Middle Class Do Not! I was hooked. I read no further and went straight to the counter to pay.

I saw that the copyright was 1997. Where had I been? It was now the year 2000!!! In any case, as I devoured the book, I came to realize a totally new way of thinking that led to a new way of life. My journey was on and I have not looked back since!

I joined a Cash Flow Game group and learned how to play. Indeed, I learned about all kinds of ways to become wildly successful and financially free; real estate investing, MLM, flipping homes, how to build a business, the power of having a home-based business, and the internet marketing industry. Most importantly, I learned about myself; and how my approach and perspective on life and money influenced my financial situation. And, I continue to learn about myself everyday.

Cheers to your success!

Free Your Mind: Then Nothing Will Hold You Back

The first line in a popular song by En Vogue goes: Free Your Mind and the rest will follow. How true that statement is. The Olympics, Paralympics and life experiences of many regular people attest to that. It really up to us and our outlook on life that determines our happiness and success.

Most of us start out enjoying our lives. As children, we have great hopes and dreams. It does not take a great deal to make us happy. We do not analyze our circumstances or our backgrounds. We believe we can be, do and have anything. So we develop huge dreams.

As we grow up, however, something happens. We start to notice that things are different for some people. Some are wealthy. Some are not. Some are prosperous, some are not. Some are famous, others are unknown. Many have social status and political power, most are hard-working ordinary citizens.

So, we look at our circumstances and decide that because of our circumstances, we can not make a change or become a success. We may envy people who appear to have it better and come to resent them. Or, we may blame society, or the environment or many things outside ourselves. It is precisely those thoughts cause us to feel powerless and criticize ourselves!

I say this is not necessary. Everybody has the power to change her or his circumstances. It is not necessary to be dragged around by other people or the by the environment. There is no need to be envious of another or even bear a grudge. It is within our own power to take our lives in any direction we wish

Each person’s life is full of unlimited possibilities. It is possible to free your mind from the scaffolding that holds you back from reaching your potential. The mind itself has no limit. It is people who limit what they think they can do, be or have.

It is said that if you can think it, you can do it or develop or achieve it. Human beings have the power to grow, to achieve the impossible against all odds. We all know stories of people who have come out of the direst of circumstances to become great or famous or successful.

Anyone has the power to do the same thing. Everyone has the power to train his mind, to grow, to expand. Nothing you can think of is impossible to attain. It is proven every day. Some new invention always appears. The ipod came out of someone’s mind. The mini-cam came out of someone’s mind. Video game technology and special effects graphics came from someone’s mind.

True, some people may be geniuses; however, I believe we all have genius inside of us. We can develop the power to release the lesser beliefs we have about ourselves that we learned growing up and develop our greater self. As entrepreneurs and business owners, student, teachers, artists, scientists, whoever we are; we can consciously grow our minds and change our circumstances. We need constant growth and achievement to make us happy and we can have it.

However, some people get deterred, or worse yet, defeated by life’s adversity or hardship. That is because it is much easier to give in than to persevere against all the obstacles. That is their downfall. Yet, it is in the perseverance, the development of wisdom, the spirit to never give up and the constant effort, that a person becomes strong in mind and realizes that nothing can or will hold him or her back. Many people do it every day.  Why not you?

Encourage Your Children to be Entrepreneurs!

If our children and grandchildren are the future, and they are; it is imperative to teach them to be entrepreneurs. There are always fear tactics about the state of the economy. Again, there is an oil crisis of proportions the likes of which have never been seen before. Gas prices are up in the US 400% since 2001, and they are still rising.

This is a global phenomena not just affecting the United States and the West. Countries such as China and India are buying millions more cars and trucks than before prompting more demand for oil and gas.

Unemployment is up in the US and is the worst in 22 years according to Martin D. Weiss, Ph.D., founder and president of Weiss Research, Inc. Dr. Weiss is a leading advocate for investor safety and a nationally recognized expert on domestic and international financial markets. Yet, as always, there are many people running successful home-based or specialty businesses.

We are reminded that this is not a seller’s real estate market; housing prices are down and the stock market took a big plunge recently. Household budgets are tightly squeezed and the economic stimulus payment was not adequate enough to really make a big difference to most Americans.

Our school systems do not really prepare our children to cope with the real world. It is not their fault; they are victim to the same teaching they were taught. They did not prepare us for starting our own business. It was not on the radar screen.

Since our school systems can not equip children with the necessary tools they need to ensure their financial future; then parents, grandparents, entrepreneurs and other business-owners must do it.

There has to be a major paradigm shift if children are to do more than just survive in an unstable economy. Just as children are encouraged to go to school to get good grades so they can get a good job working for someone else, they can also be encouraged to become business owners. There has to be a shift in mindset fast!

Encourage your youth to become entrepreneurs in home-based enterprises. There is opportunity everywhere; on the internet, in information marketing or the health and wellness industry. Developing the skills to start a fitness center or car wash or learning to invest in real estate are essential to financial freedom.

Teach young people to have huge dreams and also the way to manifest them. It is important that they be equipped with the tools to stand on their own and not to depend on someone or something else.

Since our schools will not, can not, do it, we must find ways to do it. If we do not, who will?

Cheers to your success!
